San Antonio Botanical Gardens - San Antonio Information

San Antonio Botanical Gardens

Covering 33 acres near Fort Sam Houston, this botanical center balances formal gardens with 11 acres of native plants reflecting the natural areas of east and southwest Texas and the Hill Country. Adobe houses, a log cabin and an east Texas lake reinforce this illusion. In the more formally cultivated areas are a rose garden, an old-fashioned garden, a Japanese garden, a touch and smell garden for the visually impaired and an herb garden.
