Exhibits more than 8,000 aquatic animals in naturalistic settings. Visitors can watch divers hand-feed fish in a 90,000 gallon Caribbean reef, wander through the Amazon rainforest in the Amazon Rising exhibit or observe a colony of penguins in a re-creation of a Falkland Islands habitat. Said to be the largest indoor marine mammal pavilion in the world, the Oceanarium contains beluga whales, Pacific white-sided dolphins, Alaska sea otters and harbor seals. An array of shark species dwell in the 750,000 gallon Wild Reef exhibit, which includes an artificial reef and several tons of imported sand.
