Boone Hall Plantation - Charleston Information

Boone Hall Plantation

The Boone Hall Plantation traces its history to a 1681 land grant to Major John Boone. Primarily a cotton plantation, it also has produced bricks and tiles. Original buildings include the circular smokehouse and nine brick slave cabins. The mansion, rebuilt in 1935, contains plantation-made bricks as well as woodwork and flooring from an earlier house.
