    Turner Field - Atlanta Information

Turner Field

Turner Field, home to the Atlanta Braves, was built with the combined efforts of the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games and the Braves, as a multipurpose stadium for the Braves and the 1996 Olympic Games.

The Stadium was originally built for the Olympic Games with the intention of turning it into a completed stadium for the Braves after the Games were over. Turner Field which is 23 feet below street level, officially opened its gates to the public on April 4, 1997 with a seating capacity of 50,096. There are 58 private suites, 3 party suites and the members only 755 Club.

A large curved outer plaza called Monument Grove harbors statues of Hank Aaron, Phil Neikro and Ty Cobb as well as the retired number statues of Warren Spahn, Eddie Mathews, Hank Aaron, Phil Niekro and Dale Murphy. At the main entry plaza, fans can enjoy a variety of different foods and activities prior to being seated for the game. The Braves Museum, Hall of Fame, Chop House Restaurant, Scouts Alley (an interactive area with games such as Throwing Heat (pitching), Power Pitcher (pitching), In Control (pitching) and Outta The Park (hitting), Tooner Field (an interactive entertainment and dining experience for kids and families features eight unique areas depicting original Cartoon Network characters), and Coca-Cola Skyfield are among some of the attractions at the Field. Turner Field was the location for the All-Star Game in 2000.

A ballpark tour of Turner Field is offered year round for visitors of all ages. Take the one hour tour and experience the most exclusive and private areas of the ballpark such as the Coca-Cola Sky Field, the press box, broadcast booth, clubhouse (locker room) and dugout, to just name a few. Turner Field will also host special events such as conferences, meeting, or tradeshows at your request.

With over 101 things to do, Turner Field is an experience that will be remembered for a lifetime by both the young and old.
